Cabañas JAMU is located in the species rich Wildlife Reserve of Cuyabeno. Cuyabeno has 603,000 hectares of protected forest including primary forest, flooded forest and a unique system of lagoons. Being the second largest protected Rainforest in Ecaudor, it is important that as much as possible is done before it vanishes too quickly.
View some of the most amazing sunsets that will leave you speechless, as you swim in the Laguna Grande.

Within the Cuyabeno Reserve you have the chance to see an immense wildlife. You might be lucky and catch a quick glance at a tapir as it plunges into the water, or an armadillo as it scurries away from you. But you don’t need luck to see a couple species of macaws, or hear the infamous calls of the Howler monkeys. With over 650 species of birds, 450 of fish, 10 species of monkeys and 1000’s of insects, you are sure to have an incredible time.
